More Info
Do you know of the only animal on the National Emblem and Coat of Arms of Malaysia?

It is the magnificent tiger that represents strength and courage of our country. Unfortunately, the tiger is facing serious threats to its existence.

In celebration of Malaysia Day this September 16, why not do something to help our dwindling Malayan tigers and join the Freeze Tiger Trade flash mob?

---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

This time around, there will not be open rehearsals at various locations like what we did for the first flash mob. You can learn the steps through our videos;

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=eyWEVsVo3IY

http://www.facebook.com/video/video.php?v=1428234120334

It is easy and proven to be very practical! But if you're still unsure about the steps, there will be a few internal rehearsals which will be conducted at the WWF-Malaysia PJ Office.

Check out this page and www.tx2.my for updates!

By the way, September 16 is a public holiday :)

I failed but i succeeded through talking

I'm kinda dissapointed that I,myself didn't take part fot the 60-HOUR event yesterday night as I had a tuition class but my parents off our home lights.Math!but I sent last minute messages to my friends and even teachers to off the lights.Know what!I actually forgot bout the event but my friend remind and that shows that my effort to spread the message to as many people as i could for the last few weeks,a worthwhile.

The response i get was good.(not confident to say i did an excellent work) Many remembered it.Quite a number of people did it today when I surveyed.
Actions that I took:
-managed to wrote the 60-Hour info on the white board of a few classes and people noticed it!
-Tell and tell and tell (until I lost count) people to remember the day
-Actually used my phone credits to sent the message to people
-Post it on blog,MySpace,Facebook and MSN.
-Sent a small piece of note telling my math sir to off the non-using lights for awhile but he didn't!nvm..
And I'm gonna do it again and i hope i get to take part like I did for last year.It was fun hanging out outside with my family and neighbours.

debate we had yesterday bout people and Earth HOUR

It's Tiger Blogfest 2010.So here i contribute a poem:
I'm born into this world,
So beautiful,
Like a hero,
so brave and bold.
Im the Alpha,
King of the jungle,
I rule the nature,
like no one does.
In the wild
you have to be strong,
put away your fear,
and fight your way.
But there's a lil heart,
calling out to everyone
Please,I'm begging,
say no to killing.
save me,protect me,
I'm struggling to live,
like all of you did,
so spare my life.
Lend me a hand,
my future awaits,
if you see,
i'm just near extinct.

Malaysia Innonative Carnival

A carnival to provide individuals a chance to have their creativity and innovation recognised, rewarded and put into practice.Mostly are school students who participate in this 2-day national event at Dewan Wawasan 2020 in Perlis. They invented and even upgraded tech stuff. There were even NGOs who took part.

Mostly are about biotech and arts.Science,we can say. It's very interesting and fun to look at all their high-tech ideas. There's a primary and secondary school that I've visited their booth, both were from Penang. Both promote 3R and their ideas were simple.Have a look:

Marina Barrage,Singapore

night at there

This was the most memorable green trip ever.I went there last year's December. That month was also Singapore's Clean and Green campaign month.I get to watch a mini gallery of pictures and histories of its river at their public library.Photography competitions were held too!
Marina Barrage is actually a government-commissioned dam built across the mouth of Marina Channel to create Singapore's 15th reservoir, Marina Reservoir. Officially opened on 31 October 2008, it separates the water in Marina Basin from the seawater. and it was the subject of an August 2008 episode of Discovery Channel's Man Made Marvels Asia. The barrage is dubbed a three-in-one project as it serves three objectives: create a new source of water supply, act as a tool for flood control, and provide a new lifestyle attraction.

Not only that'it's a eye opener for everyone of us.The quote 'sustainable singapore' is used for its theme gallery. There's all together 6 fascinating and interesting themed-gallery.There's even a solar rooftop, you can watch amazing panorama from the top and even relax and have a hangout with your friends and family.first step i entered,i was amazed at its art. There's this part of a wall made of plastic bottles and another side of the glass wall was very old newspapers.I didn't even noticed! It was fantastic...i was awed~

I gained lots of knowledge.Facts and stories of Singapore river.Of the old generation's hardwork altogether,a disgusting and dirty was renewed into today's clean Singapore River.it shows that its true, when there's a will, there's a way.Its possible to clean such a terrible river.

For the life of the river the main

think again

we love placid scenery.Nature of course!we go all over the world to find that awesome view.Unpolluted, natural, helps relax our mind and eye.But its a contradict nowadays when human start to commercialise those places.billlons and millions of human causing carbon footprint on that place.
For example in Alaska, large ship bring in tourist to show them the ice berg, melting!its wrong,so wrong.Yes!you can show but it should be restricted.make it a rule that only a certain amount of people can go on a eco-tourism holiday(it's a trend nowadays).
If we don't take this steps, imagine losing mount alps,Alaska National Park and other places? It's possible.Even the animal kingdom that exist million years ago can die on our human hands in a few years time. We've brain, think and imagine.
our world is not save for now.Media showing news about winter arrived months before it was expected in China,Australia and a few countries.Arab country experienced flood, heard that before?weird!its not,we've been expecting already, just look at our actions!
Need more prove?watch educational shows then.Oh i forgot!maybe Animal Planet won't be on our tv screen if we continue to destroy innocent creature habitat. There won't be any shows about animals.

One thing, watch news please kids and adults. And you'll know how an amazing earth created, destroyed by us who exist after a long time.

Latest from Taiji

Ric’s most recent trip to Taiji, coupled with the latest reports that we have been able to verify indicate that the killing of marine mammals in the Cove unfortunately continues. There is more work to be done. Although the killing of bottlenose dolphins - the primary target species - has dramatically decreased compared to previous seasons, they, along with other dolphin species, including many pilot whales and Risso's dolphins, continue to be captured for aquariums and slaughtered for meat by the Taiji fishermen. Since the showing of the documentary The Cove, which exposes the slaughter of dolphins in Taiji, Japan, many rumors have swirled around one question: Did The Cove stop the killing of dolphins in Taiji? Some media outlets have publicized statements that would lead the public to believe that dolphins are no longer being hunted there. Sadly, this is not the case. The policy of no killing of bottlenose dolphins has not lasted and was most likely a strategic short-term publicity stunt, aimed at reassuring the international media that bottlenose dolphins would no longer be killed. Bottlenose dolphins are being hunted and killed in Taiji again, along with many other species of dolphin. It is important to remember that this is the world’s largest dolphin slaughter. Japan issues 23,000 permits annually to fishermen around its shores; in Taiji alone, 1,500 or more dolphins are slaughtered every year. It has been going on for more than 400 years, although the drive fishery has only gone on for the past 70 years or so, and of course the capturing of dolphins for aquariums and swim-with-dolphins programs is a modern, very lucrative addition. It is not realistic to think that we, or anyone else, can shut it down before this year’s hunting season ends in March 2010. In order to once and for all stop the dolphin slaughter in Japan, The Cove must be viewed by the Japanese people. So far, it has not been. There are 126 million people in Japan. Less than 300 of them have seen the documentary so far. The work, therefore, is now about launching an effort within Japan to ensure that as many Japanese people as possible see The Cove. The Save Japan Dolphins Coalition is leading that effort, and we are currently finishing up the Japanese translations for The Cove and making copies to distribute around the country, particularly to decision-makers in Tokyo. Additionally, our Coalition will be screening copies around the major cities shortly. We are getting e-mails from people in Japan eager to help us spread the word. Your donations help our efforts. We want to thank you for all your support. Help us reach those 126 million people in Japan by donating today: http://www.savejapandolphins.org/donate.php Working together with our friends in Japan and from all around the world, we can stop the killing. We are already seeing stories in the Japanese media that would never have appeared without our Save Japan Dolphins Campaign. The Japan Times, for example, recently printed a story listing ten important human rights issues in Japan — the Japan dolphin slaughter was number 9! Go to: http://search.japantime.co.jp/rss/fl20100105ad.html We don’t know how long this campaign is going to take, but we are in it to win protection for all the dolphins and whales. You can count on that.
