Woman on a mission

Stella McCartney

Stella McCartney was born in London on 13 September 1971, the second child of former Beatle Sir Paul McCartney and Linda Eastman.A lacto-ovo-vegetarian[5], McCartney does not use fur or leather in her designs and supports PETA.[6] Some of McCartney's designs have text that elaborates on her "no animal" policy; for example, one of her jackets for Adidas says, "suitable for sporty vegetarians" on the sleeve. Her father is also known for supporting PETA by protesting against designers who use animal fur and those who wear it. Stella does use wool, silk, and other animal-derived fabrics in her designs.

Isn't she awesome?she's a package for all.

Look at her designs. Not a single animal spot!fyi, this are the latest.

authentic recycable clothes

A new fashion era by our old generation designers.Paper-made shoes and paper-knitted-like shoes. Its not that bad! It's cute, you don't even know its newspaper. It's a fashion fever in Taiwan!

its all over the news!!!
"TAIPEI, Taiwan - Confronted with an ever-growing pile of old newspapers, Taiwanese fashion designer Colin Lin,50 came up with the idea of using them to make shoes and tote bags for her environmentally friendly footwear company."

"Both the shoes and tote bags are very much in line with Lin's environmentally friendly approach to business — an approach that in recent years has led her to use fish skin and raffia as replacements for leather."

“Environmental Envoys” from 19 countries visit Bayer

Leverkusen, November 10, 2009 – Since Sunday, some 50 Young Environmental Envoys from 19 countries on four continents have been spending a week in Leverkusen, Germany, at the invitation of Bayer to find out more about environmental protection and sustainable development. The young people on the field trip were selected from around 1,300 participants in environmental competitions organized by Bayer in their home countries.
The study trip gives young people from around the world an opportunity to gain first-hand experience of the principles and application of modern environmental protection in Germany. The Young Environmental Envoys thus visit various Bayer sites and talk there to experts on the environment. The program also includes excursions to the North Rhine-Westphalia State Agency for Nature, Environment and Consumer Protection and to AVEA, a waste processing and disposal facility in Leverkusen. The aim is to give young people a fuller understanding of how industry, authorities and private households interact in the field of environmental protection. Discussion sessions and an international exchange of ideas round off the program.
“It is encouraging how young people are committed to environmental and climate protection”, says Satinder Bindra, UNEP's Director of Communications and Public Information. “They, tomorrow's leaders, can inspire today's world leaders – especially in the run up to the Copenhagen Climate Summit. After all, combating climate change is one of the biggest challenges facing humankind today. It requires a sense of responsibility, dedication and action shown by all the Bayer Young Environmental Envoys.”

Latest news update:earth is crying

I was out in town.It was ok at that time but thing's got worse when I came home.I was using the road to Arau and it was bad.The river was rising. The left side of the road was flooded.Everyone was out. This might be normal to you all but this was my 1st time.I was shocked!there's the rescue boat by the side of the road,in case emergency.
Don't you guys understand?our earth is crying.Yes!you can blame on the weather but think!was it like this last time. The whole Malaysia is in trouble.Death is rising.Aren't you scared? Not only the weather but the rising of the sea level by 3 metre, caused by our fault.Throwing rubbish into the river is everyone villager's practice in Malaysia yet no action is taken. We just forget.
Climate change then.Ice berg is melting and the polar bear is getting less.Im worried for those animal more than the human as they're innocent!Water is rising until whenever is raining, there's no place to flow.Im actually happy that the flood is a lesson for all humans out there.

STAR 07 Nov 09

I've read STAR last few days and found lots of interesting articles.Lost of its serious articles were about our earth.I realised that the global climate change has reached to the politicians over the world.Even Mr President of US,Barrack Obama is taking this serious:O Im really am thankful that everyone is taking steps. Its just that Malaysia is not yet taking a greater ways to reduce our carbon emission.Even if there is,they were volunteers playing a small part. Its just not enough. And another party who is taking greater ways is Penang Island..I LOVE IT!They always come out all kinds of ways to green the state. Its just that the Penang people just don't understand yet and is taking in their brains very slow. They think its a small matter but do they know that our sea water is rising 3 metre yearly. They can't run anywhere if the Island sinks.Death! Just hope that Malaysian awares.I don't think as I once saw the article that read 'Is plastic-free shopping possible?'Its stupid question.YES,IT IS!duh???Americans can do that, why not we?To me,for example, people in KL are just snob!i hate them. They are putting clothes from the same shop into different plastic bags.I saw it.

Enough already with the political riot and your self-conscious attitude!Forget yourself and remember the earthling! We should be thinking of our lives.hello,we are losing here!!!!If we can live longer, then u can continue with political stuff and your what-so-ever fashion or junkks longer.RIGHT?!Im pissed-off man!You people are so selfish, you're killing everyone!

Sorry!Im just angry.:-(For more information,visit http://www.sundancechannel.com/thegreen/

Hairspray.

CFC, a dangerous gas that is released into the air. It kills the ozone layer and therefore creates a chain reaction to skin diseases and such.
Sources include air-conditioners, spray-on deodorants and yes, Hairspray.
There are people out there who use up to one can of hairspray a day. Since we can't reach them, WE have to be the ones responsible. Unless you are Bill Kaulitz, please use hair gel, mouse, or styling spray.

This look isn't suitable for everyone anyways.

heart breaking truth

While I was on my way to KL.Went through Ipoh,I saw that the limestone hills there were all doomed!Look at what we've done just to satisfy ourselves.just to put nice and classy mozac in our house. Its not just one hill but the hill in the whole area were cut.Enourmous factories were built there .Its like a limestone industry zone.So scary.trees were cut.Dust.CO2 indeed!

News at TV3

YAY!Malaysia is trying to turn Putrajaya into a first recycling admistrative center and green home.Thay have this pretty colourful recycling center.Schools and offices are practicing recycling.A recycling box are placed beside their working compartment.
Im just saying.Look at the amount of waste we've created. Those are just papers, aluminiums, glass and plastic. How about other waste?Manures? Its undescribably large amount.I hope that not only Putrajaya will be practicing and continue the practice, even other party will do this.
Tesco plays the biggest part.As you know,it's all about saving energy.Biodegradable bags, green bags, points if you use the plastics again. There's this banner about how much they've lessen their resources.Tonnes!whoa!

Even Tune hotel that I was staying in KL played their part by changing the bed cover when only u request.

The other party that I found out is Big Apple Donut in tesco too!
-It says that box 2 and 3 will not be placed in different plastics. That's ok-

*i think the only party that's playing dumb is The Store!yucks!

green fashion

Biella, a small town on the banks of the River Cervo in the Piemonte region of northern Italy, has long been a regional center for textile-making and wool production, with a tradition of excellence dating back to the Renaissance.
Today, a group of eco-minded citizens are working to put Biella back on the map, this time as a hub for responsible, sustainable art and design. The Cittadellarte Fondazione Pistoletto (City of Art of the Pistoletto Foundation), founded by artist Michelangelo Pistoletto and housed in a converted factory, describes itself as “a place for the convergence of creative ideas and projects that combine creativity and enterprise, education and production, ecology and architecture, politics and spirituality.”

Bags

It's cheap too!

Living cabin:a one-sided beg

Living cabin, Kedah Tesco

Yong here!
I got nothing to post but I still have to.Let's make it simple. What i'm goin to say is that these begs are convenient and cool unlike stupid plastics,so nerd. There are lots in the market affordable and nice.THink!even though some are expensive but it's worth as we are going to use it again and again.
Some reusable bags are artictic,'they' expresses U!Those pictures were taken in Tesco Kedah-Living cabin. We can also do it ourselve too by reusing clothes or cloth or jeans and sew it if u have a 'designer's telent'.
Few of my friends use it but when i asked them do you use it here?no!why?I'm embarassed. It's always like that.HATE IT!but at least they do use it.Pnut bought one at Kedah Tesco and reduced a plastic.Grateful!
Me?Im using it where ever i can.Sometimes,i don't bring it yet i just use my hands to bring it especially food. It's just fun to become a good example to be followed.Still, there's no follower.I still don't see.guess I just have to continue my habits and soon people will follow.
DON'T GIVE UP!

this is also Tesco!sunshine!

This is a folded-big-shopping bag so that
it's convenient to bring it anywhere.

Solar deco

Nowadays, everywhere i see,in every vehicle, there's this a plastic-toy-plant-like-car-decoration.Why is it a trend?yes, maybe it's nice and cute and cheap yet i think i got a new idea. What if one day we do a petition thing but through this.Whoever buys this can show their support towards a solar-relying life.Isn't it better?

Ugh, talk about education.

As Yong has mentioned in the previous post, she or we, have been running around the school looking for SOMEONE who has the power to give us permission to do SOMETHING. In the end, Yong definitely succeeded, though I must say, we have seen shocking things along the way. Imagine your walking in to your principals office, having the intentions to talk to her about saving energy, and your walking into an empty room with air conditioner's, lights and fans running?
Nuts.

Environmental club:checked!

yay!today i've been going back and fourth to the School office.I was planning to talk to my principal but she wasn't in.:(..but!i get to asked permission from the environmental club teacher-in-charge,Puan Zaiton to update her club bulletin. She allowed and told us this might be one of your projects!yayayayayay!!!!

Green Style

I know that all of you all are so into fashion nowadays, I am too. Here is the thing though, there is no need for fancy, expensive bags, let alone REAL LEATHER. Stores like F.O.S and The Reject shop are taking steps to reduce environmental waste. They have really great looking bags these days that are made out of BIO PRODUCTS. I am a big fan and own 1 or two myself. Don't worry though, they don't cost a fortune, even the nicest ones only cost around 10.00$.
Fashion forward, yes. Environmental conscious, HELL YES !

interesting tv shows to watch

so i was watching ANTM cycle 9 last few days and i love green fashion!!!Tyra uses 100% biodiesel van as the models transportation.Love it!its green and black colour, the interior design is all about natural, authentic and exotic.Im saying tyra banks in african aborogines look pictures.Even in the mansion, all african!See,even fashion industries is taking steps!
I read about Selena Gomez organic clothing line.Even she's creating something extraodinar.(Although im not a big fan of hers)Another,Barbie as Thumbelina.its about a group of rich people who were trying to develop the place the 'twiller' bee aka the little people staying. And a girl realised, and she and her family was able to stopped it on time.Or else they were destroying homes of many that we didn't know.
To me,the barbie show is able to educate small childrens about our forest.Tell them there are other living things in the forest we should care.People!be ashamed of your irresponsible acts.Even fashion is trying to be green. There's a new task for fashion police in future.

Our first day

Weee!!!my mission is a success for its first step.Me an Mars had created a green blog!obviously,im so excited and i really wan it to go on forever and be known in future.
Mars here =)
