40th anniversary of Earth Day
Date: April 22 every year.
Earth Day was planned to inspire awareness and appreciation for the Earth's environment.Earth Day was founded by US Senator from Wisconsin and a longtime conservationist, Gaylord Nelson, as an environmental teach-in in 1970.Many communities celebrate Earth Week, which is an entire week of activities focused on environmental issues. At present, Earth Day is observed in 175 countries. What began in 1970 has evolved into a global celebration of the environment and commitment to its protection. The history of Earth day mirrors the growth of environmental awareness over the last few decades, and the legacy of Earth day is the certain knowledge that the environment is a universal concern. The first Earth Day was celebrated in 1970.
This year, forty years after the first Earth Day, the world is in greater threat than ever! While climate change is the greatest challenge of our time, it also presents the greatest opportunity, an exceptional opportunity to build a healthy, prosperous, clean energy economy now and the future.Earth Day 2010 can be a turning point to advance climate policy, energy efficiency, renewable energy and green jobs.Earth Day 2010 is a critical opportunity for individuals, corporations and governments to join together and create a global green
economy.
Join the more than one billion people in 190 countries that are taking action for Earth day.

I failed but i succeeded through talking
I'm kinda dissapointed that I,myself didn't take part fot the 60-HOUR event yesterday night as I had a tuition class but my parents off our home lights.Math!but I sent last minute messages to my friends and even teachers to off the lights.Know what!I actually forgot bout the event but my friend remind and that shows that my effort to spread the message to as many people as i could for the last few weeks,a worthwhile.

It's Tiger Blogfest 2010.So here i contribute a poem:
I'm born into this world,
So beautiful,
Like a hero,
so brave and bold.
Im the Alpha,
King of the jungle,
I rule the nature,
like no one does.
In the wild
you have to be strong,
put away your fear,
and fight your way.
But there's a lil heart,
calling out to everyone
Please,I'm begging,
say no to killing.
save me,protect me,
I'm struggling to live,
like all of you did,
so spare my life.
Lend me a hand,
my future awaits,
if you see,
i'm just near extinct.
